Mike van der Wallen took up his position as President & CEO of the GN ReSound Group on 1 March 2008. He is responsible for all group activities worldwide, including the related GN Otometrics operations.
In connection with his appointment as CEO Mike van der Wallen also joined GN’s Executive Management.
Mike van der Wallen was a corporate VP of Sony Ericsson and Head of its EMEA Region from 2001 to 2005. As head of Sony’s global GSM telecommunications business he was one of the key forces in establishing the joint venture between Sony and Ericsson in terms of strategy, organizational architecture and branding.
In 2005 his strong people management skills prompted him to establish his own executive coaching company after 17 years with Sony and Sony Ericsson.
He holds a degree in Business Administration from the European University, Antwerp, Belgium.
Mike van der Wallen is a member of the Advisory Board for the software companies SEVEN Networks, Inc., USA and Miyowa S.A., France as well as a member of GN’s Supervisory Board. |
