Peter Ulrik Scheel was appointed Senior Vice President and Head of Global R&D in GN ReSound on 1 September with responsibility for R&D sites in Copenhagen, Eindhoven, Chicago and Xiamen.

From 2001-2008 Peter Scheel was President & CEO of Sonion (now named Pulse), a recognized supplier of electronic components to the hearing instrument industry.

After completing his M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark in 1983, Peter joined Oticon in their Engineering Department. From 1989 to 2001 he held various positions in Microtronic A/S.
