Lars Viksmoen took up his position as President & CEO of the GN ReSound Group and as such part of GN Store Nord's Executive Management on 1 April 2010. He is responsible for all group activities worldwide, including the GN Otometrics operations.

Before joining GN, Lars Viksmoen was CEO of the listed Norwegian biotechnology company Biotec Pharmacon ASA. In 1986 he joined Merck, Sharp & Dohme (MSD) in Norway as a medical director and 4 years later he was appointed managing director MSD Norway. In 1992 he joined Merck & Co. Inc., a global research based pharmaceutical company where he held several executive positions based in the US and a number of European countries..

Dr. Lars Viksmoen has broad international experience as an executive in the pharmaceutical industry and from areas such as research & development as well as all aspects of sales and marketing. He has substantial international leadership experience gained both in the US, several European countries as well as developing markets.
