The world's smallest hearing instrument from GN ReSound

(Copenhagen, January 16, 2008) Today GN ReSound launches the market’s smallest hearing instrument under the name of ”dot by ReSound”.

dot by ReSound is aimed directly at especially active and extrovert people who want small and almost invisible hearing instruments. Dot is available in 14 different colours, some very discreet and some more trendy.

The world’s best sound
In the development of the new hearing instrument we have focused on creating the best sound for the user. Dot uses the most advanced process technology for sound processing, Warp. This technology provides a very high sound resolution, ensuring a crystal clear but still pleasant sound experience.

It is a classic schism in hearing instruments that high pitch sounds can be perceived as unpleasant when having to amplify the low pitch sounds sufficiently. Dot solves this problem by means of the unique ”Environmental Optimizer” which automatically adjusts the volume, depending on the sound environment of the user.

Listening requirement determines the price
GN ReSound launches Dot in three price segments at the same time. Normally, a new technology is first launched in the high price segment.

”We have chosen to launch Dot in all three segments at the same time so that all users can buy the solution that fits their specific requirements but without missing out on the most advanced technology”, says Henrik Wiboltt.

Dot is launched at the same time on all the main markets, among others the US, Germany, France and England.
